How soon do I need to book my wedding makeup?

A date isn't held without an executed contract and retainer. The sooner you know your date, the better. On average, I book about six months to one year out, however there are dates more popular than others (peak season is May-October). Once you have secured a venue and date, I advise that you should book hair and makeup shortly after.

I have a large party - are you able to accommodate?

With a network of extremely skilled makeup artists (who just so happen to be my friends), I am able to build a team of as many artists as needed to accommodate your party and will be in charge of paying them out.

Do you have a minimum for on-location services?

There is a minimum of 4 for on-location bridal services , however I can accommodate less than 4 as well as the bride-only if requested- additional fees will apply.

Why should I hire a you, a professional makeup artist, for my big day?

There are quite a few reasons but here are the top three reasons why you should hire a professional makeup artist for your wedding day:
#1: Weddings, no matter how big or small, are an investment. One of those investments may be towards a photographer you've been admiring on social media for years. You invest in a great photographer to capture one of the most important day of your life- why not look like your best self in them?

# 2: You will be busy on your wedding day- you deserve to enjoy it, even getting ready. You will have a lot of moving parts and people- you've dedicated a lot of time planning this day- you, yes YOU, deserve to be pampered. You deserve to sit back, relax, and have others do things for you. My #1 goal is to make you feel relaxed, comfortable and beautiful inside and out on your special day.

#3: Professional makeup artists know what works and doesn't work in front of the camera- they also know how to work with all skin types and tones. Event makeup is very different than your everyday makeup- we have to ensure its sweat-proof, kiss-proof, smudge-proof, hug-proof, etc. With over 10 years of experience, I've tested and tried hundreds (probably thousands) of professional products and know what works with specific skin types, tones, etc. and what is long-wearing. As a licensed esthetician, I know how to approach skin and how to apply the correct products to any skin type and tone.

How long does it take per person for makeup on the wedding day?

On average, each bridal party member's makeup takes about 40 minutes, while the bride's makeup typically requires around 1 hour and 10 minutes. I also schedule an additional 10 minutes between each service to thoroughly disinfect and prepare for the next appointment. After all services are complete, I always leave extra time for final touch-ups.
I’ll work closely with you to create a detailed schedule ahead of your wedding day, which can be shared with your bridal party and vendors.

My venue is requiring all vendors to offer a Certificate of Insurance- is this something you can provide?

As a licensed esthetician, I am fully insured through ASCP and can provide a Certificate of Insurance upon request.

Do you do trial runs/previews?

Accepted Answer

I do! What many brides refer to as a “trial” is what I call a bridal preview - a dedicated session included once your wedding date is officially reserved with a signed contract and retainer. Because my team and I book quickly, I always recommend securing your date first to ensure availability before scheduling your preview.
Your bridal preview is a 2-hour appointment where we collaborate to design your wedding-day look. We’ll go over your skincare routine, inspiration photos, and desired finish to create a look that feels beautifully you. I encourage wearing your makeup for the rest of the day to see how it feels and photographs, and I’ll follow up within 24–48 hours to hear your thoughts and note any refinements for your big day.
Previews are typically held on Friday afternoons at my home studio in N. Reading, MA, and I recommend scheduling yours about three to six months before your wedding.

Can I bring a guest to my preview?

To create the most comfortable and focused experience possible, I recommend attending your bridal preview solo. This allows us to really focus on your vision without distraction and ensures you get the most out of our time together.
If you’d prefer to have someone join, I kindly ask that you limit it to one guest due to space limitations in my home studio.

My bridal makeup package includes a two-hour bridal preview, a comprehensive consultation, and check-ins leading up to your wedding day. You’ll also receive access to a personalized client portal, where all communication, contracts, and details are organized in one place for a seamless experience.
On your wedding day, I provide a relaxing facial massage, mask, customized skin prep and professional makeup application designed to enhance your natural features and ensure long-lasting wear. You’ll also receive an enhanced touch-up kit to keep your makeup fresh throughout the celebration.
Services are available for your bridal party, moms, and groom, and I can remain on-site for touch-ups or look changes if desired.
